Forklift Operator Certification

Course Overview:
This course is designed to certify operators in the safe and compliant use of Class I–V industrial forklifts, in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178. Students will learn equipment inspection, load handling, safe driving techniques, and site-specific hazards.

Topics Covered:

  • OSHA forklift regulations and safety standards
  • Pre-use inspections and daily checklists
  • Load stability, lifting, and stacking
  • Safe travel practices and pedestrian awareness
  • Fueling and charging procedures (LPG, diesel, electric)
  • Operator responsibility and site-specific hazards

  • Classroom instruction
  • Hands-on driving evaluation
  • Written exam

4–6 hours

Certification:

3-year OSHA-compliant certification upon successful completion
