Workplace operator safety training isn’t a trend — it’s a necessity.
Let’s get something straight right out of the gate:
We’re not marketing gurus. We’re not influencers.
We don’t have time for fluff, funnels, or “six-figure hacks.”
We teach people how not to get squished, shocked, sued, or shut down.
This site exists for one reason:
To help real-world operators and safety professionals train their teams — better, faster, and with a little more common sense.
5 Reasons Workplace Operator Safety Training Saves Lives and Prevents Fines
At Scomac Associates LLC, our mission is to deliver results-driven workplace operator safety training that keeps your people safe, your business compliant, and your operation running strong. Whether it’s forklift certification, MEWP operator evaluations, or advanced winching and rigging for towers, we’re focused on practical skills and real-world application — not theory.
Who We Are
Scomac Associates LLC is led by me — Chuck MacLellan.
I’ve spent over 30 years in towing, recovery, fleet operations, and heavy transport.
I’ve taught ERSCA classes, run safety departments, ridden in bucket trucks, driven wreckers, worked in the fire service, and still find time to attend more safety classes because, like anyone in this industry knows, the learning never stops.

Why Workplace Operator Safety Training Matters
I’ve seen firsthand what happens when companies don’t train properly.
Accidents. Fines. Burnout. Lawsuits.
And worst of all — the kind of tragedies that stay with you forever.
Through workplace operator safety training, we’ve helped dozens of companies reduce incident rates, pass DOT inspections, and retain staff by creating a culture of responsibility and professionalism.
Our Safety Training Programs
Towing & Recovery
We offer certified courses through ERSCA, including:
- Essentials of Standard Duty Towing & Recovery
- Essentials of Heavy Duty Towing & Recovery
- Advanced Winch & Rigging Safety (Standard & Heavy Duty)
These courses are hands-on, rigorous, and aligned with national best practices. We also provide company-specific training based on fleet size, equipment type, and operational risk.
Forklift Operator Training
We conduct on-site training for sit-down counterbalance forklifts — one of the most common machines in U.S. warehouses. Courses meet OSHA 1910.178 standards and include:
- Pre-operation inspections
- Load handling and stacking
- Pedestrian safety and traffic rules
- Hands-on evaluations and written testing
This workplace operator safety training is ideal for warehouses, logistics teams, and job sites where forklifts are used daily.
MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) Training
Whether your crew uses boom lifts, scissor lifts, or articulated platforms, we deliver MEWP training that meets current ANSI/SAIA A92 standards. Our course covers:
- Fall protection and harness fitting
- Platform capacity and stability
- Operator responsibilities and tip-over prevention
All MEWP training includes practical assessments and operator cards upon completion.
Coming Soon: First Aid, CPR & AED Certification
In 2025, we plan to add American Red Cross-certified first aid and CPR training to our lineup. This gives companies a one-stop solution for OSHA-aligned workplace operator safety training, emergency preparedness, and compliance documentation.
How Our Training Works
- We come to you — anywhere east of the Mississippi
- Flexible scheduling, including weekends and split shifts
- Hands-on instruction with real equipment
- Certificates issued upon successful completion
Whether you have one operator or a full crew, we tailor every session to your environment and your team’s experience level.
Training That Helps You Stay Compliant
We’ve seen companies face serious consequences because their operators weren’t properly trained:
- Fines after failed DOT roadside inspections
- Lawsuits from preventable injuries
- OSHA citations due to expired certifications
Our workplace operator safety training helps you meet OSHA, DOT, ANSI, and manufacturer-specific requirements — and build documentation that protects your company when things go wrong.
